Q: Does Seek It Out market our business or do we have to do it all ourselves like so many directory sites.
A: Yes we actively and continually market the site using many different methods. We do not market businesses individually but the site as a whole. We use everything from National advertising campaigns to local word of mouth and also help the members to promote themselves through the site. |

Q: Why would a local shop or small outlet, only selling locally not nationally or by mail order, need Seek It Out?
A: The population is ever moving and as the computer confident generations get older they will make up more and more of your customer base. Information is the key, opening times, services available, contact details etc are what people want and they want to get that from the internet. The internet is becoming the modern form of window shopping and if people do not know you exist or what you offer they cannot buy from you. |

Q: I have an e-commerce site or website already – why do I need Seek It Out?
A: To maintain and/or increase your visibility to a greater audience. Search engines are hard worked with the number of sites on the internet and so strong links, good hit rates and technically competent design are vital. Joining together in one bigger web site will increase your visibility to search engines. |

Q: Pop ups & sponsored adverts - how can I be sure that outside advertisers and big companies will not be pushing my business into the background within the site?
A: The ethics of Seek It Out are to provide a fair, balanced and professional environment for all our advertisers. We feel strongly that our members (advertisers) should benefit from the site traffic and no one else. |
| |
Q: Will some advertisers on the site get a better deal if they pay more?
A: No - Seek It Out does not use any sponsored advert or privilege system. Members can have more than one page to advertise different businesses, services or venues but they do not have more status per page – everyone is equal. |
| |
Q: I am in a town/city – can I advertise?
A: Yes of course Seek It Out has no restrictions as long as the products/services are suitable for all viewers of the site. We are trying to put an emphasis on the more rural counties as we feel that areas such as the South East are already well served but anyone is welcome to apply. It is also well known that rural businesses are often overlooked as commercial advertisers tend to work only on businesses in the areas of greatest population. |

Q: Business 2 Business – can I advertise?
A: Yes Seek It Out is happy for that but we will be launching a sister site next year, just for that purpose, so you might wish to transfer there eventually. |
| |
Q: Technical knowledge – what do I have to do?
A: Just about nothing! Seek It Out will ask you to provide the details of your business that you want on your showcase (webpage) and we do the rest. We get your approval before going live and we build, upload and manage the page on your behalf. |
| |
Q: Can I have photos on my page?
A: Yes you can – Seek It Out asks you to provide the pictures in an electronic format and we do the rest. You will be provided with instructions about all aspects to help you through the process. Digital photos are normally fine for the site – no need to have professional photos. |
| |
Q: Payment, how and when?
A: Seek It Out asks for payment at time of joining – the fee is for one full year. We will provide a full members pack and all the necessary forms and instructions for you to provide Seek It Out with the details of your business for your ‘showcase’. Remember that your actual membership only starts the day your showcase goes live and lasts for one full year. You will also get marketing material, dedicated e mail address and much, much more. |
| |
Q: Can I sell from the site?
A: No Seek It Out is a website where businesses showcase their work to help gain a larger customer base locally or nationally. All advertisers can have a link to their own website. |
